Hi, I run Waybar on dw 0.7l with the ipc patch
When doing certain actions, such as grabbing a tab from my web browser (Brave) and moving it such as to create a new window, Waybar crashes and I get the error Gdk-Message: 20:03:20.816: Error reading events from display: Broken pipe.

I am using waybar 0.11.0-r1 on Gentoo with USE flags "libinput logind network pipewire pulseaudio tray udev" enabled

I don't think it's related ? What patch did you use to fix your issue ?

This version of the patch works perfectly for me, although I also don't understand why there are so many options and why they aren't labeled for which version each of them is intended. This is the version from 2024-07-16

That seems to have done it, thanks, I still wonder if Waybar should still be modified to not crash with the other versions of the patch ? 🤔

As far as I remember, if you apply the latest version of the patch to the master branch of dwl, waybar doesn't crash, so it's not waybar's fault. However, I don't understand how the different versions of the patch differ from each other
