"my documents is not accessible. access is denied"

I can't access a bunch of folders in my user folder. I've tried everything, and I'm already admin and have the permissions. If the answer is obvious, I've tried it. I don't know if this is recent of if it's always been this way.

I can access appdata, but my documents, start menu, application data etc... are all denied.

AtlasOS 22h2 is not a playbook version. Can you go to windows settings > system > about and take a screenshot to show us your Atlas version?

anyway I solved it. Turns out some of the folders had "DENY" for Everyone on certain folders. I have no idea why. I didn't do it.

You need to update. AtlasOS 22h2 is the old ISO builds. Atlas is a playbook now.

Your data is backed up during this process to C:\Windows.old. You won't receive support for other issues you face if you don't update.

Yes. You should still back important stuff up manually in general. The current and upcoming (0.5.0) versions of Atlas will support Windows 10, you don't need to switch to 11. Reinstall with a Windows 10 ISO (make sure it's 64 bit though) through the Atlas install guide.

Though 10 is EOL in Oct. 2025 so you may want to switch.
