Tasks include:

  • Create new project metadata template - attributes to be supplied in spreadsheet (PB)
  • Develop new project page view template for works project type - use ecoscience metadata template with additional fields (indicated below).
  • Re-style existing activity pages and other project pages to render properly in the ala2 skin
  • Incorporate individual activity create feature implemented for the GER hub (http://fc.ala.org.au)
  • Create a project finder landing page (like the CS page) for NRM works projects using the following header image (Modify works project type home page  #576)
image in place of the current CS one and pre-filter list to NRM works project type only.
  • Adjust project metadata template to dynamically switch to the selected project type - may be best to implement via mini workflow where step 1 selects the project type, which determines the appropriate template to use - discussion welcome.
  • Make all data views in this context to be pre-filtered by the works project type.
  • Create record review page indexes appropriate and relevant to the works project type
  • Adjust settings on all project and page views for CS projects to pre-filter to only CS project type (ie. filter out non-CS project types.
  • Modify the project type tags in the filter section to be a selectOne (drop-down list) rather than selectMany (tags). Change result set and header image on selection change, but retain and apply all other search and filters applicable before the change.

This feature needs to:

  • enable the creation and management of projects which are very similar to those in MERIT, including:
  • the content, tab structure, template structure, and project home page format to be retained,
  • the MERI plan, target setting, tab labels, and dashboard components should be retained.
    but
  • remove the MERIT workflows, approvals and reporting processes.
  • create a new hub in BioCollect and configure like CS project finder

It must also include as high priority:

  • Add a new funding breakdown table to project metadata - new fields (columns) = "Funding source", "Funding type (Private/Public/Philanthropic/Donations & Bequeaths/Other)","Funding % (include validation 0< NN >100 & sum = 100)". Allow adding rows.
  • The ability to add new activities from the context of the list schedule
  • The ability to add new activities from the context of a site
  • The ability to create a site from the context of an activity
  • The ability to create a site from the context of the schedule
  • The ability to create a site from the context of an activity
  • Adjustments to the project metadata template and project overview page
  • Styling adjustments to the Activities list page
  • Styling adjustments to the MERI plan edit and display pages

Lower priority items include:

  • Adjustments to the Sites display page
  • Adjustments to project Admin pages and pill pane listing
  • The ability to add new activities from the context of the gantt chart schedule
  • The ability to dynamically adjust activity start/end dates as GUI inputs on the gantt chart

Adam, here are the fields to include in the works project metadata template. Note the comments column and please give me a call if any questions. Also have a chat with Chris as he had thoughts about how he was going to tackle it too.

The view template should essentially be a combination of the one in MERIT (which includes the blog section) and the existing CS template layout (minus the bits which are not relevant to the works type).

Note also that the works project type has a tab layout and naming convention like in MERIT (eg. activity rather than survey) and also includes the "Plan" tab (not "MERI Plan" though). There will also need to be some fine-tuning of mandatory/non-mandatory fields for the non-MERIT version too.
