Images can now be inserted directly into Attribute text:
There is an image toolbar icon
Clicking this will open a popup with the option to either select an existing image from the profile, or to upload a new image.
Uploading a new image works the same way as adding an image via the Add Image option in the images section
By default, images uploaded via the attribute control will be displayed both in the attribute AND in the images section:
Use the 'Display on Public View' toggle to hide the image in the images section
Delete the image from the attribute text to remove it from the attribute section
The Insert Image popup will allow the editor to select ‘excluded’ images to insert into the attribute even though they are not shown in the public images section
Images attached to attributes will also be displayed in the PDF (below the attribute text)
Bug fix: Narrow images are no longer stretched to a minimum width in the images section, which was distorting some images
The profile author and acknowledgements are now listed in a single row at the bottom of the profile view page (edit page remains the same)
Any attribute with ‘name’ in the title (e.g. Common Name, Vernacular Name, etc) will now be displayed below the profile name and not in the attributes section on the Profile View page (edit page remains the same)
The “Show content from supporting collections” toggle has been removed from the Profile View page. The toggle remains on the Profile Edit page, and is automatically saved when changed – this means that the profile editor can decide whether they want attributes from supporting collections to be displayed for the profile
Bug fix: uploaded images are now displayed correctly in the image viewer popup
The NSL link beside the profile name now opens the APNI display page for the name rather than the name instance page
Collection administrators can now choose different banners for profile and non-profile pages, and choose between two heights
Collection editors can now upload images to be used for the banners, logo and thumbnail rather than only being able to enter a URL
Page number is now displayed on the name protolog (below the profile name, where available)
Session timeout has been increased to 4 hours
New 'Recent Comments' report listing all profiles that have had a reviewer comment within a date range
Free-text search now has an option to include Archived profiles
The Documents tab at both the collection level and the profile level now support PDF and URLs
The map is now hidden when there is no matched name
Bug fix: attributes from supporting collections were not being shown
When viewing a profile for a Species with there are subordinate taxa:
The breadcrumb will end with an icon which will show infraspecific profiles (if there are any – e.g. Acacia dealbata)
The Taxonomy section will also list any infraspecific profiles
The taxonomic breadcrumb now only includes ranks which have a profile
‘Profile Collections’ has been removed from the breadcrumb, and the link back to the collection home page has been changed to an icon
Image captions can now be provided for all images via the Edit page
Bug fix: the taxonomic tree sidebar was sometimes displaying species with the + icon indicating that there were children, when there were none – this was due to species profiles where the profile name did not match the name in the taxonomic hierarchy.
Collection administrators can now choose whether to automatically display all images from the Approved Image Sources by default, or to hide them all until a Profile Editor chooses to show them:
Select the “Display all images…” option in the Image Options section on the admin screen (this is the default selection)
All images from approved sources will be displayed on profile pages by default
Profile Editors can explicitly choose to hide individual images via the profile edit page
Select the “Only display images….” option in the Image Options section on the admin screen
No images from the approved sources will be displayed by default
Profile Editors can explicitly choose to show individual images via the profile edit page
Items in the Browse by Category groups can now be filtered
Bug fix: the Profile revision history sometimes showed blank diffs – this has been fixed so all entries in the history will correctly show the change
Snapshot versions include any Documents that were attached to the Profile
If the Profile has documents, then the snapshot version will be a zip file containing the profile PDF and all attached documents
If the Profile does not have attachments, then the snapshot version will just be the profile PDF.
Bug fix: if an unexpected error occurs while updating the User Access for a collection then all users were removed from the collection
Bug fix: PDFs were not rendering some special characters, such as male/female symbols
The profile edit page now has a Save All option
Only visible when there are unsaved changes
Sits in the bottom right corner of the page (when visible)
Degrees and times symbols added to the attribute text editor toolbar
Enabled HTTPS (all urls should now redirect to https://….)
Bug fix: updating the primary image will immediately change the image at the top of the page (previously required a refresh)
