What

Users cannot delete their own comments on other sites. And if they update their public display name, previous comments still display the old name.

User report: 9541182-zd
FYI @chekle

Why

WordPress.com does not allow users to delete comments they’ve made on other WordPress.com sites. While users are advised to contact the site owner to request deletion, owners may be unresponsive or unwilling to cooperate. This leaves users without control over their own content, which raises concerns about privacy and data ownership.

How

In this example, the user originally commented using the public display name "Spec." After updating the public display name, the old comment still shows "Spec" instead of the new name.
