Welcome to the Diabetes Modelling wiki!

This repository is a collaborative project from modelling Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and this Wiki is to serve as our light-weight documentation.

Modelling specification:

Model details:

• Outcome: Emergency Admission to hospital, with a primary diagnosis of diabetic ketoacidosis.

• Predictors: To be examined from the National Diabetes Audit (NDA) dataset, to include age, sex, ethnic group and deprivation groups as minimum.

• Exposure: Patient entered into the National Diabetes Audit with Type I diabetes.

Predictor treatments:

• Smoking status set to 'current smoker' = TRUE / FALSE

Data Sources:

• Outcome: SUS Admitted Patient Care

• Predictors: National Diabetes Audit (NDA)

Time Period:

• Exposure: In the NDA for 2022/23, EQ4.

• Outcome : In the APC for 2023/24.
