Intelligent Dispatching

Hi there,

I've been using the Intelligent Dispatch entity to drive charging my house battery overnight (am on intelligent go and and Ohme charger), it's worked flawless until today.

and today....

However, today - the entity has been on and off all day, which is unusual. Just to add the car has NOT been plugged in today - which I know could mean that it's triggered....

So the question is - is that correctly triggering or is there an issue?

Any info appreciated!

Hello. This is not expected with ohme as the pending dispatches are ignored due to the way ohme integrates with intelligent tariff. What version of the integration are you using?

Strangely today behaved fine and no repeat!

The only thing that I can't think would cause this is if a completed dispatch came in for the current 30 minute period. Unfortunately the only way to confirm this would be a SQL query as HA doesn't provide a way of getting attributes for historic data

Me too. Started about the time I upgraded to 15 and then 15.0.1.

I’m using an ohme ePod and on OIG. As you can see, there’s not a 100% correlation with when the car is actually charging, but there does seem to be some interaction:

I did wonder if this is something Octopus changed as it seems to align with a change to reported peak vs off-peak previous consumption values (until now always shown as off-peak when charging on auto - which is all I do)
These have now started to show as peak outside the 11:30 to 5:30 window, but it seems only if intelligent dispatching (Cheap Rate) isn’t On? I was suspicious May 5th was ‘about’ when I upgraded to 15 following it’s release…. and then I found this discussion…

• blue and yellow are a utility meter helper based on home mini, intelligent dispatching and ohme charging data.
• red and green are off peak and peak previous consumption values from the octopus integration. (On days when I didn’t charge the MG4, you can see when my home battery charges at 11:30, then supplies the house from grid until 5:30)
• purple is epod charging energy from the HA bundled version of the ohme integration (2025.4.2)
  

Happy to provide logs/do some SQL digging under instruction as to what might be useful…

I believe this issue should be fixed as part of v15.0.2

Evidence would appear to support that hypothesis :-)
