Try higher bitrate? Forza Horizon is a game with crazily high texture details, they need a whole lot of bandwidth to get streamed fine. |

I've had some better results disabling two-pass mode and maxing the single-frame VBV/HRD percentage. I did not analyze this scientifically, so it is just by eye. |

Before I changed my settings, it was noticeable enough for me to get a bit irritated - racing in Forza, the road in the distance started smearing heavily and losing detail. I'm quite a videophile and audiophile and want things to look as pristine as they can - so I usually tweak endlessely to get things the way I like. As you said, this could be an Nvidia Shield specific issue - I don't know too much about their hardware decoding. However, since I've got things pretty decent, I'm not likely going to experiment further. |

I've got this working great, however when playing fast moving games like racing (eg. Forza Horizon 4), I notice some smearing in more solid areas of the picture - such as the sky and roads.
Does anybody have any suggestions to reduce that while still having pretty low latency? Or is there nothing to be done with my setup?
Unfortunately, the 3090 doesn't support AV1 encoding so I can't try that out.
