These components should be at hand (example with DHT22):
Connect SDS011 and DHT22 with NodeMCU:
- After connecting the jumper cables, it might be best to secure them with tape.
- In this example the DHT22 is connected to 5V (spec 3.2V-5V) which has proven to be more successful because of deviating manufacturing quality. And in this depicted example the jumper cables were combined. Alternatively the DHT22 can be connected to 3.3V as described in the original plans.
Attach NodeMCU to SDS011 with a cable tie as shown and it pull tight. Connect the plastic tubing with a diameter of 6mm and of approx. 20cm length with the SDS011.
Feed the parts into the piping. Take care that the fan of SDS011 is laying horizontally and to the bottom of the board. Also make sure that the plastic tubing is not kinked and its end slightly outside of the protective piping
Fit the two pipe bends together:
Cut the excess of the plastic tubing flush to the length of the pipe.
