Well said but I still very much comfortable with solidity anyways lol.

I looked into Solidity once but favored learning Vyper due to its pythonic nature.

With the exception of a few programmers, most tend to favor Solidity though. It always came across to me like someone who was using too many words to make a simple statement, lol.

Yeah, I totally understand if you love Vyper, and that is justifiable. I believe my love for Solidity grew this much because I started my programming career with Javascript.

I always loved Python, even though I have made more JavaScript for reasons... So Vyper is my way to go and yeah, writing contract in Vyper feels better, but that's a preference.

Solidity is massively adopted, and also a good start to learn how to code a smart contract. There are a ton of resources. I think I would recommend newcomers to first start with Solidity and then go to Vyper. Because you can then understand the core concepts and then transcribe Solidity to Vyper to learn even faster (and see the differences).

Aside from that, starting by Vyper is also a good choice. The goal is to learn and build to participate in this worldwide project, Web3.

Yeah, the strong community and available resources is where Solidity excels.

And FYI: I was never a big Javascript fan, and that may play a role in it as well, lol
