So is the intention of this project that this repository become the canonical source for these governance docs? If it is I imagine that we'll want to remove them from the G-Drive or alternately, provide a system where we can ensure that these stay up to date w/ the ones in the drive.

Also what is the intended route for putting them on the website? should we hotlink to the GH page?

Is the makefile required when editing or can contributors simply change the markdown?

Russell,

This repository should still be considered experimental.

If successful, then yes, it will be the authoritative repository of
governance docs.

My guess is that it would be unrealistic for us to expect everyone to
become conversant with github, markdown, jekyll, liquid, etc. So successful
will likely also include setting up a hook to publish a subset of the docs
to google drive to make them easy for non-developers to make and suggest
revisions.

I'm open to recommendations on how to make them available via the
http://www.decaturmakers.org site. -What ever is easiest to maintain...

The makefile doesn't work at the moment. My plan is to use it via a travis
CI to automatically test the website for standards conformance, produce
pdfs, ebooks, etc. and hopefully publish to google drive as well.

cheers,

G
