Getting started with data from the command line is a smaller step than from a notebook.

Pycsw transactions are presented here:
https://docs.pycsw.org/en/latest/transactions.html#transactions-using-ogc-api-records

Have a go at creating a STAC collection document in JSON, then pushing it to a STAC Collection, then pulling it from the stac collection.

Document examples in the README.md file.
