Title says it all. Clean "install", when launching from a mapped drive produces a crashed tab on launch. Any attempt to open another tab crashes the tab as well. Running in troubleshoot mode works fine. Since this is a completely new "install", there are no settings, extensions, etc, so not sure why troubleshoot mode works any differently, but it does.

Running locally, it works fine. Only issue is over a mapped network drive.

FYI, 128.10.0 esr portable works fine from mapped drive.

Ok, weird. I just tried it and it works fine for me. I don't know what would cause this here.

Is there any additional info or logs I can provide on my end that would assist?

Well I'd need to be able to replicate it to be able to attempt to fix it. Maybe someone smarter could do it with logs but that isn't me.

I guess testing older releases to figure out the last to work would help.

I tested several releases, and everything up to and including 134.0.3 (64-bit portable) works fine from a mapped drive.

The tab-crashing starts with 135.0.1 (64-bit portable).

Does this fork have the issue?

Apologies, but it appears that link requires .exe files to be built, and I don't have that knowledge. Is there someplace I can download the portable setup ready to go?

The releases have .zip versions, although it's not portable in the sense that r3dfox is portable.

If you want to run it like r3dfox portable mode, make a .bat file with these contents and use it to run the browser.

firefox.exe -profile Profile -no-remote

140.0.a1-v3 64-bit works running as portable (the most current version).

135.0 64-bit works as well (the first version of r3dfox that had the tab-crashing issue).

I'll be happy to test any other version needed, just let me know.

Does the latest release fix the issue?

136.0.4-1 64-bit portable has the tab-crashing issue as well from a mapped drive.

Ok, so I assume this is something Mozilla broke and then they fixed between 137 and 140.

I'll leave the issue open, but I assume once I get 137 and 138 out, maybe even 140, it should be fixed.

Thanks. I'll keep a watch out for those releases and report back.
