The user has the option to project the LOS observation to the horizontal plane in the direction of the LOS vector.
This can be accessed from the user config file.
It is referred to as psuedo-horizontal projection.

I don't see the sense in the proposal made here. We spent time adding it recently to provide flexibility to the user. As long as the feature is well documented (no doubt this can be improved!), IMHO it is up to the user to decide if and how they project the data, and accept the underlying assumptions.
Yeah okay, if it doesn't make sense to remove it, then maybe the only action from this is to confirm the documentation and make sure it is well explained.
