Changes in version 134.0.6998.108.0:

  • update to Chromium 134.0.6998.108
  • add support for using passkeys without Play services via the Android 15 credential manager (not every passkey provider supports this)
  • disable barcode and text detection features depending on Play services dynamite modules to avoid violating Dynamic Code Loading (DCL) via Storage restrictions especially since it can't be turned off for base OS apps by users

Changes in version 134.0.6998.39.0:

  • update to Chromium 134.0.6998.39
  • disable crashpad debugging infrastructure since it depends on ptrace which is disallowed for GrapheneOS system apps and can be turned off for user installed apps too (part of the native debugging toggle), which is fine due to Android having built-in crash handling we rely on rather than using this

Changes in version 133.0.6943.39.1:

  • remove upstream V8 Optimizer toggle for toggling the 2 highest tiers of the JIT compiler with a manual list of exceptions since it does not fully disable the JIT compiler as widely misunderstood and doesn't make sense to have alongside our actual JIT toggle with a proper per-site setting (WebAssembly will be supported with the JIT fully disabled once we get the WebAssembly interpreter from Microsoft Edge working)
