Gecko-based Android browsers

  • [ ADDED 4/3 ] Firefox
  • [ ADDED long ago ] Waterfox (Privacy-centric browser, emphasizing performance and user control.) Based: United Kingdom. Since: Oct 26, 2011. Latest: Mar 26, 2025
  • [ ADDED 4/10 ] Iceraven (Provides users with more options, more opportunities to customize (including a broad extension library), and more information about the pages they visit and how their browsers are interacting with those pages.) Since: Mar 3, 2021. Latest: Mar 8, 2025
  • [ ADDED 4/10 ] Fennec (Customizable and privacy-focused browsing, with proprietary bits and telemetry removed, but still connected to various Mozilla services that can track users). Since: May 1, 2019. Latest: Mar 08, 2025
  • [ ADDED 4/10 ] IronFox (A fork of Divested Computing Group's Mull Browser). Free and open source, privacy and security-oriented web browser for daily use.) Since: Dec 31, 2024 Latest: Jan 2, 2025, at 5:40:17 AM MST

Chromium-based Android browsers

  • [ ADDED 4/6 ] Quetta The most similar to Kiwi Browser. A privacy-centric browser dedicated to offering an ad-free, secure, and smooth browsing experience. Has a cool built-in AI adblocker and "darkreader" mode. Auto cleans data, which is nice, and it also can pip and play YouTube videos in the background. Easily download and find the resolution of most online videos! Risk: Prohibits reverse engineering, even for security audits or interoperability. Impact: Hinders independent verification of security/privacy practices. Risk: Anonymized data shared with Mixpanel for analytics. Risk: Mentions "industry-standard" security but lacks specifics (e.g., encryption standards, breach protocols). Risk: Claims GDPR alignment but lacks a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) or details on international transfers. Based: United Kingdom. Since: January 24, 2024. Latest: March 27, 2025
  • [ ADDED 4/8 ] Mises The most similar to Kiwi Browser (Web3 Dapp+Cross-chain Swap Aggregator and Web3 DNS) Comes with 2 built-in Web3 extensions that can't be removed and a Mises login page instead of the home button. Has DevTools, but you can't change the homepage much like Kiwi let users do. Includes YT/Videos background playing feature. It's currently "broken" when typing anything on it, you can't see what you typed or edit it (they fixed the typing bug on their beta release). Since: Oct 12, 2023. Latest: Mar 21, 2025
  • [ ADDED 4/6 ] Lemur (Has DevTools) Concern 1: The browser reads clipboard content upon startup to detect referral codes. While claims are made that non-matching data is disregarded, accessing the clipboard poses risks, as it may inadvertently capture sensitive information (e.g., passwords and personal data). Concern 2: The Integration of third-party SDKs like Umeng+ (for analytics) collects device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID, etc.) and location data. While the policy references Umeng+’s privacy practices, users have no control over how third parties handle data. Concern 3: The ToS allows data sharing with third parties under vague conditions, including "legitimate journalistic purposes" or "academic research." These terms are ambiguous and could permit data sharing without explicit user consent. Concern 4: The policy states data is retained only as "necessary" but doesn’t define this timeframe. Based: China. Since: Feb 22, 2024. Latest: Mar 19, 2025.
  • [ TESTED 4/9 userscripts unworking for Android, SSL unworking for Windows / GitHub APK ] Cromite (Fork based on Bromite with built-in support for ad blocking and an eye for privacy.) (User Scripts only, no custom extensions support) Since: Sep 1, 2023. Latest: Mar 21, 2025

I tried testing the [ TESTED 4/9 browser unworking ] FlowSurf browser on my phone, but it crashed, so I just gave up testing it.

Unknown engines (They're so bad that I haven't even checked, just uninstalled them)

  • [ TESTED 4/6 userscripts unworking ] XBrowser (Supports only the TM extension)
  • [ REMOVED 4/2 for Play store delisting ] Mask (Doesn't support the TM extension)
  • [ TESTED 4/9 userscripts working, keyboard unworking ] Kito (Mixes Chinese with bad English)

Does this [ ADDED 4/9 / Edge ] https://www.youtube.com/embed/0meyFD5FHTw?autoplay=1 work for you?

If you find anything else, let me know.

...but I read it's really hard to do like you have to enter a really long unfriendly crx id so probably will not include until they fix it

Here's a preview though (based on @ChinaGodMan's design)

Believe it or not just that so far took over 200 lines of code!

No problem. I just wish that it at least worked, but it seems like they made the Kiwi browser dev believe that they would implement it, then as soon as his repository got achieved edge removed this feature because I was unable to reproduce that video.

That's possibly true because on Edge Addons store i notice lately they try to promote mobile support for the Addons instead (and userscripts are competitors)

That's a lot of lines of code just to show that list!
Anyway... I'm seeing that some of my tested browsers and recommendations are still missing on that list...

Yes but I have to optimize the design 1st then I can work on testing them (but I will prioritize the ones you listed, the existing ones are copied from @ChinaGodMan's table)

If you wanted though you could confirm which ones guaranteed work w/ GoogleGPT or userscripts in general and note that here then I will take your word and include it as compatible

...along w/ which userscript managers, the Chrome store ones I promote are

Tampermonkey Violentmonkey ScriptCat OrangeMonkey

and also whether Dev mode was required (not all the managers require, Tampermonkey tends to always though)
