I think removing hostile mobs entirely and making the pack playable in peaceful is a better solution than adding more weapons |
Ideally you'd have both. Remove regular mob spawns, but replace them with heavily guarded structures, then add the weapons mod. |
Mob spawns are really annoying, Oepn Turrets is also an option |
I actually recently found a really cool low-tech gun mod that is not very complex (though we should probably change some recipes). It's called Matchlock Guns and adds early firearms ranging from the arquebus and the blunderbuss to the breechloaded rifle and the revolver. These guns are actually involved to use. You have to manually load them with gunpowder or cartridges and use gun ramrods. They also have a durability, and a chance to jam. I'm certainly going to be using this mod in AAPN for the early tiers of weapons technology. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/matchlock-guns Any thoughts? |

For more effective fighting against mobs. TechGuns would probably be too much work to integrate or wouldn't fit the style of the pack, so I suggest Mr. Crayfish's Gun Mod, that one is much lighter and doesn't add any custom mobs or structures or anything.
(I know about the IE revolver, but that one kind of sucks to be honest. The worst part is the insanely slow bullet travel speed, you can literally see them go a couple of blocks a second in real time.)
