Context

A crash that is not placed into a crash log is produced with Create 6.0.0 due to a missing Lang class error. This happens early in mod loading.

Forge: 1.20.1 v47.3.33
Create: 6.0.0
Steam n' Rails version: 1.6.7

Removing the mod or downgrading Create allows the game to load again.

Isn't this the repo for Steam 'n' Rails? Modrinth links to here for "View source". If so, I think having an issue open for discussing about and keeping track of the new update would be better for the community

Agreed, and the fact this is marked as 'not planned' means to us that this mod might cease development.

To the devs:
If this is actually not planned, please at least accept pull requests if someone rewrites it.
Also, just know that this is not a good decision for the community. Just my humble opinion.

It is planned, it's just that getting spammed with issues does not make the process go any faster, the issues are being closed as not planned since thats the same section for "invalid" issues.

I get the frustration but closing all issues as not planned will just result in someone else having this issue and thinking no one else reported it as they see no open issues about the issue. As the repository doesn't have discussions turned on, it seems like the best option is to have one issue open for community to see devs working on the issue.

Also, this seems like a valid issue to me. Even though the thing changed is something else down the line, it's affecting Steam 'n' Rails and so I think it should be treated as another issue. At the end, Steam 'n' Rails is supposed to be working with Create 6.0.0 but it isn't right now. You're saying "Steam 'n' Rails has not updated yet" but that's literally the issue we're talking about.

Here's what I meant by this: #561 #564

Take a look to what other Create mods are doing:
talrey/CreateDeco#190
copycats-plus/copycats#199
ValkyrienSkies/Valkyrien-Skies-2#1111

They're keeping one issue open for communication with community and for project management purposes.

Quick example of community appreciating having clear communication with developers about the issue:
