User Documentation

In order to better manage the expansion of the CoopTerm programs offered by McGill Engineering Faculty, our team has developed a coop term software system named "CO-OPERATOR" in employer viewpoint. Our CO-OPERATOR website can be accessed through this Link.

This document will provide user a detailed instruction of using the website.

Sign Up & Login

Signup Page

  • To signup, choose "employer" from the dropdown, then enter company name, email and password to register a new account.


Login Page

  • Log in with a correct email and password. The website will redirect to the Home page.

Coop Terms

COOPTERMS Page

  • What is COOPTERMS Page?
    • A list of the coop terms in charged by the employer can be viewed by clicking the "CoopTerms" button on the right upper corner of the main page. Each row of the table contains a student name, start date and end date, the current status and a Coop Term button.

  • Sort
    • User can sort the name, start date, end date or status by clicking on the top row of the table. The list can be in ascending or descending order.
    • The below diagram shows the coopterms sorted by the name in ascending order.

  • Filter
    • User can type a name, start date, end date or status at the input to search for a list of students or a student specified by the entered condition. The following diagram shows the coopterm filtered by the name.

  • Coop Term Button
    • By clicking the "Coop Term" button, the page is redirected to a student's coop term. This contains details of a specific coop term.
    • For a specific coop term, you can:
      • Check the job description of this coop term by clicking the "link" button.
      • Confirm a student's coop term by clicking the "confirm" button. A check mark will appear if confirm successfully.
      • Upload a student Evaluation form by clicking the "Upload File" button.
      • View the uploaded file by clicking the "Download" button.
      • Update the Student Evaluation Form by re-upload the file.


Events

EVENTS Page

  • A list of all the upcoming events for an employer can be viewed on EVENTS page. Each event is provided with title, description and location.


Forms

FORMS Page

  • The "Forms" button is located at the right upper corner of the main page. A detailed Instruction of downloading and submitting the files is provided on this FORMS page. The proof of coop placement document, tax credit forms, and Student Evaluation Form are available to be downloaded on this page. Two versions (English and French) of tax credit forms are ready to be downloaded.
