the instructions caused my installation to be downgraded. #883
Comments
this is frustrating. the instructions in https://docs.nvidia.com/datacenter/cloud-native/container-toolkit/latest/install-guide.html will cause user to replace their keyring with outdated information.
i have to resort to the keyring from this instructions in order to get the latest version: https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-installation-guide-linux/ |
the only difference from the instruction to install the container toolkit from above is that i used the keyring from the cuda installation.
|
the info here also did not seem to be very helpful in troubleshooting or figuring out why the cuda installation keyring works and not the container toolkit instructions: https://nvidia.github.io/libnvidia-container/stable/rpm/ the link on unsupported versions leads back to here https://docs.nvidia.com/datacenter/cloud-native/container-toolkit/latest/install-guide.html#linux-distributions which only provided the outdated keyring. |
i can see that the version in the document latest is shown as 1.17.3
is there a reason why following the instructions caused my installation to be downgraded instead?
from the git repo i can also see that the latest is 1.17.4
