Unable to clone NorESM on betzy

Describe the bug
I am unable to clone NorESM on betzy. I get the following error:

git clone https://github.com/NorESMhub/NorESM.git

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. git clone https://github.com/NorESMhub/NorESM.git

Hi @kjetilaas , I cannot reproduce the behavior - just tried. Maybe retry/re-connect to betzy?

Thanks for checking, @jmaerz. I am still getting this error (both at betzy and fram), but I am able to clone on my local machine.

I will test a bit more...

@kjetilaas - I also get the same error as you when I try to clone NorESM.
I am logged in on login-2.betzy, and the download speed is initially very slow, before it crashes.
I tried logging in on login-3.betzy, and there I am able to clone without problems.

Ok, so I am getting this issue.... sometimes... From some googling this looks like a memory/bandwidth speed issue. Which can be different on different nodes at different times...

This is an issue with betzy's connection on login nodes. Can't do anything about it apart from requesting a different login node and trying again.
