blank screen

So im getting nothing but a black screen, even in the settings window in the preview pane its blank. im running

KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0
Qt Version: 5.15.4
Kernel Version: 5.13.0-44-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz
Memory: 7.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics

I'm using mp4 format, not sure if that makes a difference or not and couldnt find anywhere that it said otherwise.

I converted the video from MP4 to WEBM and it worked

same issue, ran: sudo pacman -S mpv gst-plugins-base gst-plugins-ugly gst-libav gst-plugins-bad
converted video from mp4 to webm.

screen is just black
