Hello! Could be a inconsistency between java required by the build tools and java set in the system. Version set in the Android Studio in the Settings - Build, execution, deployment - Build tools - Gradle should be 21.

Thanks @Razeeman changing the gradle version to 21 in settings helped to fix the issue.
