Prerequisites

  • I have searched all issues/PRs to ensure it has not already been reported or fixed.

Criteria

  • Reasonably well-known and widely used (e.g. if it's a GitHub project, it should have at least 100 stars and/or 50 forks)
  • English interface (or at least English documentation)
  • Latest stable version
  • Full version (i.e. not a trial version)
  • Fairly standard install (e.g. uses a version-specific download URL, no elaborate pre/post install scripts)

Name

doublecmd-beta

Description

Two pane file manager inspired by Total Commander (Beta)

Some Indication of Popularity/Repute

After version 1.0.11, active development transitioned to 'beta' versions, which are tagged as pre-releases on GitHub.
SourceForge stable releases and 'beta' versions have separate download pages now.

Since "beta" are not matching "Latest stable version" might not fit here.

@kroteau please open this request.

there are lots of packages on scoop with "-git" prefix, which themselves mostly are like snapshots.

look here: scoop search "beta|dev|canary|night"

edit: those things belong to "versions" bucket. so, this issue shall be transferred to there.

see here for instructions on how to do that:
