Channel mapping not right while changing gains on a XR16

I am using a XR16. I discovered that while changing the gains the channels are not mapped in the right order. Channel 1-8 are working fine, I have to switch to channel 17 to change the gain changed on channel 9. Maybe this has to be the fact that channels 9-16 on the XR16 are line channels instead of mic channels.
The changing of pans are working normally.

I'm quite surprised... And unfortunately, I don't have an XR16 so I can't test from my side.
Even channels 9-16 on the XR16 are line channels, they have also gain paramaters so it should not change anything...
I don't know how to fix that without the mixer....
