Hi,
I love the spike app and since I use it my average blood glucose level has dropped quite bit. Thanks for that. I use the app wit Freestyle Libre and miaomiao and with two different types of insulins. I do not have an insulin-pump yet unfortunately.
That is why I still have two questions or suggestions on how to make it even easier to manage diabetes with the app. I don't know if this is the right place to ask my questions but If it isn't someone might still find this idea useful.
) Is there a way that spike can remind me that my long-acting insulin is running out? Especially in the evening I do not check my cell phone that regularly so sometimes I notice this too late to stop my blood glucose from rising.
I know that the insulin is displayed on the chart but since I do not always look a the chart but instead use the spike notifications as long as I do not inject a bolus it would be a great help for me, if I could program an alert.
) Can I use the Bolus-calculator as a kind of loop system? I mostly use the calculator at the moment but sometimes I am still a little off with my values. Is there a way for spike to recognize that the blood glucose level is rising for lets say 15 or 20 minutes and then give an alert to bolus or if it's falling to give an alert to eat something?
Maybe this might help others too.
Regards
