This would be pretty cool for things like mods and unofficial ports. This company claims to produce a tool for converting a published game to a Unity project, and from what I've read it sounds like their claims are accurate. (Don't know why it says "software protection system"; generally that refers to the exact opposite.) So it should be possible in theory. Unfortunately though their software is proprietary, and from what I've heard, the DRM it uses borders on malware. (Though I guess all DRM does under some definition of "malware".) And I haven't found any other tools to do it.

That sounds possible but not the goal here. That sounds unnecessarily complicated.

Would you like to do it for 3d or not?

That's not related to the present issue, but I don't plan on working on this further at the moment.
