### APv1
623623

624-
_Info:_ The very first kind of 'standardized' additional copy protection that appeared in later PSX games. This is only found in some Japanese games. The _APv1 style protection can only prevent a backup CD-R of a game from working on a console that has a 'non-stealth mod-chip' installed_. APv1 style protection can not detect games booted with Tonyhax International on a stock console without a _non-stealth_ mod-chip.

### APv2
635635

636-
_Info:_ Unlike APv1, APv2 detects both soft-mods and non-stealth mod-chips. It is found in some Japanese games, some USA games, and a few PAL games. It is the only protection besides EDC ever implemented for USA releases. Very early SCPH-3000 Japanese consoles, and all SCPH-1000 Japanese consoles are immune to tripping APv2 as long as they are not containing a 'non-stealth' mod-chip. These consoles will work with every APv2 game without a bypass even being needed. Bypasses are still needed for `non-stealth mod-chip` SCPH-1000 and early SCPH-3000s which is why the bypasses are still enabled for those models.

# [Tonyhax International](readme.md) -> Changelog

## Version 1.5.0 (5/28/2024)
4+

* [tonyhax-international-v1.5.0](https://github.com/alex-free/tonyhax/releases/download/v1.5.0i/tonyhax-international-v1.5.0.zip)

8+
9+
Changes:
10+
11+
* Fixed booting discs with FreePSXBoot exploited memory cards. The latest FreePSXBoot builder commit has a bug that interferes with Tonyhax International booting games, so I have reverted back to my [last commit](https://github.com/alex-free/FreePSXBoot/commit/9aacebc554b37867936a5d067269113e7ea3b296) in my fork which has no downsides other then it works correctly.
12+
13+
* Began implementing [EDC](anti-piracy-bypass.md#edc) bypasses for games. Dance Dance Revolution (Japan) now has an EDC bypass and can be burned by any burning software. For games which don't yet have EDC bypasses you still need to burn them in RAW DAO mode to bypass the EDC check in the protected game. Please see the [anti-piracy bypass list](anti-piracy-bypass.md#list-of-protected-psx-game-discs) for compatibility.
14+
15+
* Included `entry-bb.bin` and `entry.bin` in releases.
