After I did:
sudo python setup.py install
in the arbapps directory, I got the following error:
src/_portaudiomodule.c:29:10: fatal error: 'portaudio.h' file not found

I would say you need package libportaudio-dev

Will you update the installation instructions accordingly?

Yes, is it the actual issue? Are you running Ubuntu?
