How can I upload a file via curl with getPresignedUrl ?

I'm trying to use the s3 request signer to support uploading files, I'm doing nearly exactly what the example in the docs here shows except using PutObjectCommand instead:

const client = new S3Client(clientParams);
const command = new PutObjectCommand({
  Bucket: 'uploads',
  Key: 'test123',
);
const url = await getSignedUrl(client, command, { expiresIn: 3600 });

How can I then take that URL and use it via curl?

I'm doing this:

curl -H "Host: minio:9000" -X PUT "$URL" --upload-file ~/Desktop/hello.txt -v

But it doesn't work, I get an error:

The request signature we calculated does not match the signature you provided. Check your key and signing method.

Here is an example URL its creating:

http://localhost:9000/uploads/test123?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Content-Sha256=UNSIGNED-PAYLOAD&X-Amz-Credential=AjAOk2gNRU%2F20210727%2Fus-east-1%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20210727T184545Z&X-Amz-Expires=3600&X-Amz-Signature=44058eebea8e31afb60a5993f9d26b644c40bebda24004b63225a51d227e7723&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&x-id=PutObject

I've confirmed my config works, I'm able to connect to minio using the normal api methods such as listBuckets. But I just can't seem to figure out how to use the presigned urls. I'm not sure if this is a bug here or just a problem with the way I'm using it.

Any help would be immensely appreciated.

NOTE: I'm swapping minio:9000 with localhost:9000 so its callabale from my localhost but I"m sending in the original Host: ${host} as a header.
