I understand that work is tracked outside of Github. A PR will be linked to this issue should one be opened to address it, but Bitwarden doesn't use fields like "assigned", "milestone", or "project" to track progress.

Hi @istituzionealsole

From the video I can see neither Bitwarden or any other password manager is invoked, which leads me to believe this is not a Bitwarden issue. Out of curiousity, if you enable a different passkey provider, like Google Password Manager, does the system passkey prompt display? Are you able to successfully create a WhatsApp passkey with any other password manager?

We are aware of issues with WhatsApp when attempting to create a passkey from their Settings screen after logging in and have reported the issue to WhatsApp for further investigation but the behavior in those scenarios does not match the behavior you're experiencing.

We have found a workaround for creating a passkey. During the initial login WhatsApp prompts to create a passkey. Creating a passkey from this flow has results in success during our tests. More details about WhatsApp issues can be found in this thread: #4582 (comment).

Since this issue is outside of our control I'm going to close this thread. If you have any more details, don't hesitate to leave them on the thread and we can re-open it if needed.
