Are modifications possible in FreeCAD?

I've createad an extrusion of a specific length in FreeCAD and it looks like the part was added as a solid that can't be modified later (changing the length). Is this expected and is there a way to modifyi it afterwards? I think it would be really helpful if this was possible.
