Description

After the update to Brave 1.76.81, Chromium 134.0.6998.166 the Picture in Picture (PiP) on YouTube is not working.

Maybe is something on the YouTube side, because on other website it works (like https://www.rsi.ch/play/tv/-/video/san-gottardo-nel-cuore-della-montagna?urn=urn:rsi:video:2021846).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a page on YouTube, https://m.youtube.com
  2. Play a video
  3. Full screen the playing video
  4. Press the android home button

Actual result

The play continue but you hear only the audio

Expected result

Video playing in a PiP window

Brave version

Brave 1.76.81, Chromium 134.0.6998.166

  • Brand/model: Samsung Galaxy S24
  • Android version: 14

I close this one. It seems that the work is done in the #44933

There is a temporary workaround by visiting the desktop site of YouTube
