How to adjust belt tension on the Qidi Plus 4

Belt Adjustment Procedure

This is essentially a mix of the Qidi Max 3, and the Qidi Q1 Pro belt adjustment procedures.

1 - Turn the Printer Off

2 - Loosen the belt tension clamping bolts

Loosen the 8 belt tension clamping bolts on the rear of the Plus 4. See the photos below.

About 3 full turns anti-clockwise on each bolt is sufficient to release their clamping pressure.

3 - Move the print head around

Following the pattern shown in the photo below:

4 - Retighten the belt clamping bolts

Rew-tighten the belt clamping bolts, and re-run the Input Shaper Calibration procedure

How to increase/balance the belt tension on the Plus 4

(Better description to come)

• Remove the spring loaded auto belt tensioning devices.
• Shim the larger of the spring tensioning buckets with M5 washers
• Screw the belt tensioning device back into place on the printer.
• Perform the belt tension adjustment procedure as above.
