NIST has selected the PQ algorithm HQC for standardization*. As a result, the interest for a reputable implementation in golang is rising. It's too early to speculate how the final standardized version might differ from the HQC presented in round 4, but being able to start using HQC today adds tremendous value.
There doesn't seem to be any other issues or PRs mentioning HQC at this time. Has it been brought up at all? Is it already in the roadmap?
It'll be nice to have a backup KEM ready-to-go, but at present we're putting our efforts into getting PQ authentication that performs well enough to be turned on by default. So, no, no timeline yet.
