If you have access to a CUDA-compatible GPU and want to use the gaussian process surface creation, install pytorch (tested version 1.8.1) and gpytorch (tested version 1.4.0) in the environment using conda. On Ubuntu, I encountered unresolvable conflicts when attempting to install pytorch and gpytorch in the same virtual environment as opencv, pdal, and open3d. The problem doesn't appear to emerge consistently across platforms however.
