Description:
Digdir will participate with a booth at the Internet Governance Forum 2025 (IGF), a major international event with 4000 participants from around the world. Designsystemet has been invited to join the booth and present its message during a dedicated slot.

Key details:

  • Main booth responsibility: Tuesday, 24 June 2025, from 13:00 to 17:00 (but we can be present all day)
  • Conference theme on Tuesday: Digital Public Goods

We need to:

  • Register via a registration system in order to participate: https://www.igf2025.no/registration.html (No costs)
  • Prepare a presentation or video in english that can be view at our screen in the booth. Tailor the content to leaders + an international audience. Highlight how Designsystemet contributes to accessible and inclusive digital services as a digital public good + more efficient product development.
  • Check if someone from KS Digital, Brønnøysundregistrene, Utdanningsdirektoratet or Mattilsynet would like to join us representing Designsystemet. @Camulos @stianmorsund ?

The IGF is a global forum established by the United Nations to promote dialogue on internet governance. The forum brings together representatives from governments, the private sector, academia, civil society, and the technical community to discuss and shape the future of internet policy. This year’s meeting marks the 20th anniversary of the IGF and carries the theme “Building Digital Governance Together.” The sub-sessions will focus on digital trust and resilience, sustainable and responsible innovation, universal access and digital rights, as well as digital cooperation.

The event will take place at NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm, located about 10 minutes by train from both downtown Oslo and Oslo Airport. More than 4,000 in-person participants and a similar number of online attendees from around the world are expected.

IGF 2025 is open to everyone interested, and registration is now available through the United Nations registration system.

Why should Designsystemet be present at IGF 2025

  • IGF gathers stakeholders from around the world working on digital governance, universal access, digital rights, and technology development. Being visible here gives the Design System an opportunity to showcase how Norway builds shared components with a strong focus on accessibility and user-centered design.
  • Contribute to global conversations on accessibility, inclusion, and sustainable digital development.
  • Demonstrate cross-agency collaboration as a successful model for others. The Design System represents a successful cross-agency initiative. This story can inspire other countries and organizations facing similar challenges. A stand provides a platform to share experiences and lessons learned.
  • Build partnerships and increase visibility nationally and internationally.
  • Since Norway is hosting IGF 2025, this is a unique opportunity
