Blazor Server 2FA with DOD cac reader. HTTPClient returning null connection from client

We have applications developed as Blazor Web Servers. With 2FA using DOD CAC works with local IIS. When we deploy to a test server to test the communications do not work as a local iis, we are getting nulls for the connection. Need help from others that may have 2FA DOD CAC authentication using Blazor Web Servers.
