VS Code Extension Not Loading

I am trying to develop a VS Code extension within a Theia project. I have followed the instructions here. It is the standard simple hello world extension example from yo code. I can see it getting initialized, 2025-02-13T18:16:01.667Z root INFO [hosted-plugin: 80884] PLUGIN_HOST(80884): initializing(hello-world@0.0.1 with /<PATH>/browser-app/lib/backend/plugin-vscode-init), but I don't think it is actually running in the browser when I try to type in the "hello world" command it doesn't do anything. How can I further debug this?

Not sure what I did, but it started working.
