Was --install-servers used? Fleet server is no longer installed by default in 9.0.

If it wasn't, this duplicates elastic/elastic-agent#6656. Closing assuming it is a duplicate, will reopen if it's confirmed to be separate.

Hi @cmacknz
Thank you for looking into this issue and sharing the update.

Yes, we are successfully able to install fleet server on 9.0-beta1 using --install-servers flag.

Screenshots:

Hence, we would require --install-servers flag added with available fleet-server install command.

Further, we will track the shared issue for the fixes.

Thanks!!

Hi @cmacknz
Just an update, we are not able to install Fleet Server on a cloud build even by using --install-servers flag.

Please let us know if we are missing anything here.
Thanks!!

What is the difference between the case where it works and the one where it doesn't? It's not clear to me.

Hi @cmacknz

We had attempted to install Fleet Server on both Self-managed kibana and the cloud BC build.

However today, on fresh 9.0-beta1 BC1 cloud build, we are successfully able to install the Fleet Server using install-servers there too.

Hence, we can mark this as done.

Thanks!
