Steps to reproduce

Please continue to maintain Element until Element X is ready.

  1. Sunset application - first step #8983
  2. Tested Element X, it doesn't work, not something I can currently give to people new to Matrix, I won't repeat the issues from https://github.com/element-hq/element-x-android/issues
  3. Yes, I know if MAS is activated you can still switch back to Element afterwards, still a bad impression and further complication.

Please don't activate MAS in matrix.org without reverting #8983 .

Do you need any feedback on Element X? Doesn't look like it to me at this point in time.

Outcome

What did you expect?

A working Element X that can replace Element.

What happened instead?

Not a serious replacement yet.
