Steps to reproduce

  1. Export E2E room keys from old Element into a file
  2. Send this file to yourself in a private room
  3. Click the file in old Element — see 'importing' dialog
  4. Click the file in Element X — file is simply previewed as text

Outcome

What did you expect?

Imported keys, so I can read old messages

Thanks for opening the issue. Element X currently only supports online backup of your keys, so I've modified this issue as a feature request.
