Using R Markdown to draft manuscripts can be useful to improve reproducibility, while also incorporating citation software that seems to crash other collaborative working spaces (looking at you, zotero plug in for google docs). I plan to add a new section that describes the best times to use R Markdown for manuscript drafts and includes a quick and dirty tutorial on how to get started. I'm happy to take any suggestions from people familiar with R Markdown for manuscript drafting.
