I would love to see these ports updated to work with OpenBSD -current. 6.6 will be released in the next few months so building a new bootstrap file targeting it would make the most sense.
I'm happy to get the ports up to date with the latest standards, but would need someone with access to a current mlton system to build a new bootstrap archive.

@jturner I will check if I am able to provide the updated bootstrap files. That might take several weeks.
Note that bootstrap files were the reason to not import MLton port into the OpenBSD ports tree before. It would be great to find a way to bootstrap and compile MLton on OpenBSD without external bootstrap file dependencies. SML/NJ 64bit beta is planned to be released this month (see smlnj.org), that might be an alternative path to bootstrap MLton.
