Module
DF Template Enhancements 2.0.0

Describe the issue
New 2024 rules and newer dnd 4+ system introduced 'Emanation' templates, where you can place the template on the token casting it and it expands around the token. With grid snapping turned on, this feature of placing it on the token to "Emanate" is impossible and with the targeting enabled, it includes the target token, yet it's supposed to "emanate" out from the caster token.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create or change a template spell to an Emanation template.
  2. Place the template onto the casting token.
  3. See that without grid snapping enabled, this will expand the template slightly and place it on the token. It will then also target, if you have that on.
  4. See error

Expected behavior
It'd be nice if emanation templates did not target the caster and was an exception to the grid snapping rule or some sort of hotkey to enable overruling the grid snapping rule.

Changed to Enhancement request as ticket describes expected behaviour.

I think the enhancement would be a new feature to make the template be an emanation, which would magnet the template to the token, and not select that token during targeting. Otherwise it is normal to target self in the case of something like a fireball.

That'd be a great feature, I only went with "bug" because the core dnd5e does the expanding template thing when using on the token and that doesn't seem to work quite as well with the features of template enhancements.
