bug: Blank Input in Setting

Describe the bug
It we make the input fields in Settings for samples, bins or numbers to blank it reset the existing values with the original values

Expected Behavior
If the input values the kept blank then the previous values should remain there.

Steps to reproduce it
Go to settings
Change the value of samples to some other value than 3
Now again change its value and keep it blank
