Register mailto not working on Firefox 90.0 on Big Sur (mac OS 11.3.1)

Hi there. I've clicked the "Register as mailto: protocol handler" button multiple times, but I never get Proton mail in the Firefox list of handlers. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? Would really love to get those links working...thanks in-advance!
