GoPro Hero 12 Black stuck on "Button to cancel" screen after scanning RTMP QR code

I'm trying to use the RTMP live streaming feature with my GoPro Hero 12 Black. I've installed the latest GoPro Labs firmware and generated the QR code using the official tool at https://gopro.github.io/labs/control/rtmp/.

After scanning the QR code, the camera displays the "Button to cancel" screen. The loading animation above this text completes in about 1 minute but then restarts again in a loop. The camera never proceeds to start the live stream.

Please let me know if there's a workaround and Is there a way to skip this "Button to cancel" and start the recording .

Did you follow this?: Pair with the GoPro mobile app once. Live-streaming won’t work with an out-of-box or factory-reset camera, without connecting with the App first. On HERO12 & 13 it seems you have to enable auto upload once.

@dnewman-gpsw, do I understand it correctly that it is necessary to pay for a GoPro subscription just to enable auto-upload, and then disable it, to allow live streaming using the QR code?

No, that should not be necessary. Just Livestream with Quik once to get the camera provisioned.

I was able to get it working. I initially faced the same problem as @wysventures with a HERO13 using !GLC/!GL, on 2.2.70. This, despite having livestreamed successfully before using the RTMP option through the Quik app. Then, I tried to uncheck the Using HERO12 or 13 in the live stream QR generator and this worked albeit very slow, taking over a minute to start the stream (command oW1mVr1080!W!GLC). The Button to cancel progress bar almost depleted before the stream started.
After successfully streaming with the pre HERO12 command, (I tested a bunch, such as oW1mVr1080!W!GLC and !W!GLC), !GLC started working.

@wysventures, I recommended trying oW1mVr1080!W!GLC and if that works, then try !GLC.

After noticing this, I tested the previous firmware, 1.30.72, where I noticed wildly different stream startup times.
Here are my test results, the date is the time from QR scan to the time the stream starts:

My conclusions after tinkering

1. !GLC does not work out-of-the-box as stated by the docs and mentioned by @dnewman-gpsw
2. As an alternative to enabling autosave to get the stream working, !GLC can be made to work by first running the pre HERO12 command and performing a successful stream. I personally was unable to enable autosave without purchasing a subscription so cannot verify that it would have helped.
3. After !GLC is made to successfully run, it keeps working when upgrading the firmware.

If this workaround proves effective for @wysventures, it could be a useful addition to the docs.
