The overall tessellation interface works but is hard to:

  • Implement in backends: lots of impl are required.
  • The generic code doesn’t know about the impl, so it makes client code that uses polymorphic types very verbose on the constraints.

For now, after having used all that for months, it’s not that bad, and I think GATs will help reducing the complexity drastically. So we should wait for that.
