Heirline winbar flickering / flashing

Hey!

Could someone please give me some ideas on how I might fix this? I'm using https://astronvim.com/, which uses https://github.com/rebelot/heirline.nvim by default.

As you can see at the bottom, it's flickering for some of the selected items—those that don't have anything shown in the preview window.

This would be better answered in the astronvim repo, this is something to do with how they implemented that status line component, try the same with mini.sh, fzf-lua doesn’t change anything in the status line.

heirline is very DIY, my guess would be the auto command updating the status line is called when it shouldn’t or updates even though nothing needs updating.

Thanks for the hint. I'll check out this https://github.com/AstroNvim/AstroNvim/blob/main/lua/astronvim/plugins/heirline.lua file closer, maybe something can be done.
